Full version of publication: Guide to Health Care Insurance
Health insurance can refer to a variety of insurance policies depending on what they cover, how they are purchased and paid for, and the rules that govern the health plan.
This guide provides general guidelines on types of health care insurance coverage, health plan designs, health plan options including those available through the Affordable Care Act, important terms and definitions, and the grievance and independent review process.
