Agent License Renewals
Resident and nonresident licenses expire every two years on the last day of the licensee's birth month. It is possible that licensees may be given longer than the required minimum of 24 months. For example, if an agent applies for a license March 1, 2016, with a birth date of January 30, the agent's license will expire January 31, 2019.
Agent licenses are available to renew 90 days prior to the license expiration date.
Attention Agents: All renewal notices are sent only via email to the business email address on file within 90 days of a licensee's expiration date. Please make sure the most up to date business email address is on file and check spam folders to ensure you receive your renewal notice.
Completing your CE just on the last day or two before the expiration date may not provide sufficient time for your renewal requirements to be fulfilled. Please note that information needs to be submitted and updated across multiple systems to facilitate the renewal application process, which may take at least 24 hours.
Ensure that your CE credits are completed and electronically submitted by your education provider to the state, and that your renewal application is submitted electronically before the expiration date to successfully complete the renewal process.
Our office recommends submitting your CE well in advance to ensure a smooth renewal. No exceptions will be permitted.
