Information on the Proposed Conversion of Medina Mutual Insurance Company and Sugar Creek Mutual Insurance Company to a Chapter 611 Insurance Company

On November 16, 2023, Sugar Creek Mutual Insurance Company (Sugar Creek), a Chapter 612 town mutual insurance company, along with Medina Mutual Insurance Company (Medina), a Chapter 612 town mutual insurance company, filed a statement pursuant to s. 612.23 Wis. Stat. on behalf of the companies, seeking to convert to a single Chapter 611 mutual insurance company. Upon completion of the transaction, Medina will cease to exist and Sugar Creek will continue as the surviving entity, organized under Chapter 611 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
