Insurance Commissioner Houdek Releases Statement on Governor Evers'
State of the State Address
Madison, Wis. — Last night, Governor Tony Evers reiterated his commitment to health care access for all during his annual State of the State address. Insurance Commissioner Nathan Houdek shares the following statement of support.
“Health care access is critical to the wellbeing of our communities, but the rising cost of prescription drugs continues to be a barrier for Wisconsin families to get the care they need. Too many people have had to choose between paying their heating bill or paying for their life-saving medications," said Commissioner Houdek. “Governor Evers' Task Force on Reducing Prescription Drugs made a number of recommendations to address these costs and create more transparency. I am excited to see the governor's continued support for these proposals and look forward to seeing these important reforms implemented."
