OCI Unveils Revamped Web Site

Madison, WI—The Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) announces the launch of its redesigned Web site, advancing the agency's mission to lead the way in informing and protecting the public and responding to its insurance needs.

"Our staff worked very hard to put this Web site together," stated Insurance Commissioner Ted Nickel. "The redesigned Web site includes a number of new features including a more scalable design for consumers using mobile devices. However, we hope the most important change will be the usability of the Web site for all of our customers including consumers, agents, and insurers."

The new design of oci.wi.gov includes features which are cohesive with the Wisconsin.gov state portal and other state agency sites. Reworked navigation makes it easier for users to find information and connect with OCI services. The site's responsive design allows content to be accessed on tablets and mobile devices, and the site leverages a Web content management system which gives OCI staff the ability to manage and update content without requiring technical Web developer resources.

The redesigned OCI Web site was built at no cost to the state or its citizens through a public/private partnership between the State of Wisconsin, Department of Administration, and Wisconsin Interactive Network, LLC, a subsidiary of NIC.

Created by the Legislature in 1870, Wisconsin's Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) was vested with broad powers to ensure that the insurance industry responsibly and adequately met the insurance needs of Wisconsin citizens. Today, OCI's mission is to lead the way in informing and protecting the public and responding to its insurance needs.
