Health Care Coverage Alert: Only a Few Days Remain to Sign Up or Change Your Plan on Healthcare.gov Before January 15
Madison, Wis. — Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner Nathan Houdek urges Wisconsin residents to sign up for high-quality, affordable health insurance coverage before Open Enrollment ends on Saturday, January 15.
During this limited time, all Wisconsinites are eligible to get enrolled in one of the many health plan options available on the federal marketplace known as Healthcare.gov. Thanks to the American Rescue Plan Act, many consumers can access health insurance coverage for as little as $10 or less per month.
“For only a few more days, everyone is eligible to enroll in a high-quality health plan on Healthcare.gov," said Commissioner Houdek. “Join over 200,000 Wisconsinites and sign up before time runs out! Your health is too important to put off until tomorrow."
During the first six weeks of Open Enrollment,
205,991 consumers in Wisconsin signed up for coverage on Healthcare.gov. Over the
same time period in 2020 , 192,183 consumers in Wisconsin had enrolled. Consumers already enrolled in a health plan through Healthcare.gov can also change their current plan before January 15.
“We are on track for a record year of enrollment, and we have more resources than ever to help every consumer find the right health plan for themselves and their family," finished Commissioner Houdek.

WisCovered.com as an accessible resource for consumers. By visiting WisCovered.com or calling 2-1-1, people can get connected with free, expert help. The online services are available in English, Spanish, and Hmong. 2-1-1 operators are able to offer help in over 180 languages.
