How to Qualify for the National Flood Insurance Program

If your business is located on a floodplain, you will need to purchase flood insurance. Flood insurance is available through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). To qualify for the NFIP program, you must live in a designated community and comply with the government guidelines for flood prevention. Most areas in Wisconsin qualify. Your insurance agent should be able to help you find out if you are eligible.
