Governor Tommy G. Thompson has created a task force to address pressures on Wisconsin's small business insurance market. Like the rest of the nation, small employers in Wisconsin have been experiencing difficulty in providing affordable access to health insurance to their workforce. Governor Thompson charged the task force to look at ways to encourage a healthy, competitive private market for small employers.
Task Force Chairman and Insurance Commissioner Connie L. O'Connell named the ten members who will comprise the task force that will evaluate information and consider recommendations. The members represent small employers, the insurance industry, health care providers and policy makers.
This location will provide information on the task force including upcoming meetings, minutes of previous meetings and other information that the task force is compelled to provide. Any questions about the task force can be directed to Jim Guidry at (608) 264-6239 or jim.guidry@oci.state.wi.us.
