State Officials Discuss Spring Flood Preparations

Madison, WI—Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner Sean Dilweg, Department of Natural Resources Executive Assistant Mary Ellen Vollbrecht, Wisconsin Emergency Management Administrator Johnnie Smith and representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will hold a press conference at the State Capitol in the Governor's Conference Room at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, to discuss Flood Awareness Week which takes place the week of March 16, 2009. Participants will announce a proclamation from the Governor and discuss the importance of flood insurance and floodplain management in addition to the prospects for flooding this spring in light of the impact of flooding that has occurred in the last two years.
