   Advisory Councils and Committees < Property and Casualty Advisory Council

This council, created by s. Ins 6.79, Wis. Adm. Code, advises the Commissioner on regulatory matters in the areas of property and casualty insurance. The council has four insurance company members, two agent members, and three public members. The members during 2006 were:

Company Members

    James Thomas, Society Insurance a Mutual Company, Fond du Lac, Chair
    John Duwell, West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, West Bend
    Maryelyn Geisler, American Family Mutual Insurance Company, Madison
    Brian Peacy, Employers Insurance Company of Wausau, Wausau

    Mary Kaiser, Spectrum Insurance Group, LLC, Eau Claire
    Charles Vang, Charles V. Vang Insurance Agency, Milwaukee

Public Members

    Lemuel Eaton, Metro Milwaukee Fair Housing Council, Milwaukee
    Bill Smith, National Federation of Independent Business, Madison
    Steve Tauke, Marshall & Ilsley Corporation, Milwaukee

The Property and Casualty Advisory Council meets quarterly on a Friday chosen by the Council. The members are appointed by Commissioner and serve a three-year term.
